JD has been a Boulder County resident since 2000. Since then he has built a small portfolio of rental properties, which he and his family manage. He moved from residential to commercial real estate in 2018 in order to join Summit Commercial Brokers. His can-do attitude has had a major positive impact for the brokerage.
In his first year alone, JD completed commercial sale and lease transaction totaling more than $2,000,000. JD’s prior work experience has been varied; beginning with a degree in engineering, followed by a career in the Navy building, man- aging and operating real property for Uncle Sam. He later worked for Walt Disney Company doing Property Management at Disneyland and then for 16 years in the aerospace industry in Boulder, Denver and Alice Springs, Australia. These real-world experiences have given him the ability quickly understand the facility and business needs of the varied commercial client base which Summit Commercial Brokers serves.
JD is a native of Oregon and former career Naval officer who has lived & worked in various cultures across the globe on four continents. He offers representation for tenants, buyers, sellers, and landlords in Boulder, Broomfield and western Weld Counties. By virtue of an engineering education, strong aptitude and real-world experience JD can add significant value to industrial, office and retail users. He has been a property manager since 2003 and a full time Commercial Real Estate Broker since 2017.
